A web application that takes a snapshot via the webcam and compares the user’s face against a database of inmates and their last words. Artificial intelligence calculates the most similar face and shows to the user their most similar last statement according to their face. Capital punishment is one of the controversial human rights issues. I found the database by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, which comprises the offenders’ last words before execution and their picture. Texas adopted execution by lethal injection in 1977 and in 1982, the starting year of this dataset, the first offender was executed by this method.
